DanThorn started on pole for the sprint race. Everybody got away cleanly but Dan made a mistake at the third corner allowing Smifaye through into the lead. Mr E 004 got good drive out of the infield corners early on the opening lap and made a move on the Magane of OpenedAutumn58, Autumn defended his line in the corner vigilantly and contact span the Scirocco, with Mr. E out of control, Umack84 was the unlucky racer to make contact with his Toffifee-Camel Collaboration Scirocco and this sent both drivers to the back of the pack. Umack quickly made ground on Mr. E and passed for position and the two of them soon approached dam0nski and Autumn, Umack made two clean passes for these position while Mr. E waited and hounded for a mistake, passing Autumn on lap 5 for 6th place in lobby. the brothers were then running line of stern around 3 seconds apart and gaining on Javaguy360 for the remainder of the race until Mr. E dropped further back with a small error on the corkscrew on lap 9.

Independents Summary

Once again the drivers all got away cleanly and everyone was tentative going into the first corner. The field was bunched up and there was changes for position going on all the way down the field. Smifaye who started at the back of the grid had made his way up to 5th position and was on the back of OpenedAutumn58, he managed to get past after a few attempts and set about chasing down Mr E 004. Mr E appeared to let Smifaye through at the end of the pit straight but in fact it was a mistake by the driver. Smifaye was then on the back of Javaguy360 and made a brave move down the inside of the corkscrew. Smifaye's next target was DanThorn who had made quite a lead. Smifaye could not find a way past the driver due to some brilliant defensive driving from the Kernowsport driver. Smifaye decided to pit and try and make the undercut. This paid off when Dan pitted the next lap but made a mistake on the pit exit. Mr. E worked hard to make the best from his 6th place grid position and though it was going well as he stayed out of trouble into the first corner, this resulted in a slightly modified line but this gave him a great drive at Autumn into the second infield right hander, while attempting this move Autumn sternly defended and the resulting contact could have been much worse than it was. Mr. E now set off in chase of the remaining field and was steadily closing the gap to Java, this target worked well as it resulted in Smifaye coming out behind Mr. E after he pitted, Mr. E was running 2nd after Java and Umack84's stops and gave him a chance to learn to work with pressure, for all of a lap, then he cracked and Smaifaye drove through on the Andretti Hairpen after a mistake from Mr. E. After Dan Thorn's pit stop and resultant catching the Kernowsport driver made an audacious move around the outside of "that sweeping bend after the corkscrew" with the ultimate grip of new tires and really cranked up the pressure by holding the racing line into the following right hander. this left Mr. E on the outside of the turn and the resulting wiggle drove Mr. E to an unplanned pitstop at high speed. After the stop he was gaining on Java for around 5 laps and was riding the Acura's bumper for about half a lap at the death, until trying to line up a late move in the lap meant a mistake at the corkscrew and the resulting speed would have meant it would be unfair to pass so he backed off and settled for a well earned 4th becuase of Umack's retirement.
