Welcome to Realish Rally Chronicle, the fourth Realish Rally Championship. We’re back on Dirt Rally 2.0 but this time we’re taking a trip through rally history. Over the course of the season we’ll be driving four classes from the 1960s to the 1990s two rounds in each. To win this championship, you will need to adapt to four very different types of car.
As before, each rally will be six stages with one short service area in the middle. Rallies will run from Midnight on Saturday for two weeks (ie, until Midnight two Fridays later). You have only one attempt, however the stage order will be posted in the event thread and you can quit out between stages if you wish.
You must use the same car for both rallies – for example, if you choose the lovely Citroen DS for Round 1, you must also use it for Round 2, and so on. There is no teams championship so drivers are free to pick whichever car they want for each class.
There is a mix of DLC and you can enter many of the events with just the base game, however, you will need all the DLC to enter every round and to have a full selection of cars.
Note you will also need to join the Dirt Rally 2.0 Club in order to compete.
Historic H1
Round 1: Argentina (6/3/21 - 19/3/21)
Round 2: Greece (20/3/21 - 2/4/21)
Early rallies were tough events for tough cars, so we’re starting with two of the most demanding rallies in the game. Driving these old cars is all about keeping up your momentum and resisting the urge to overdrive.
Historic H3 (RWD)
Round 3: Scotland (3/4/21 - 16/4/21)
Round 4: USA (17/4/21 – 30/4/21)
The 1970s saw classic RWD machines such as the Datsun 240Z and Lancia Stratos take centre stage. Scotland and the USA are both fast gravel rallies which should allow for plenty of powersliding action.
Group B (4WD)
Round 5: Germany (1/5/21 - 14/5/21)
Round 6: Poland (15/5/21 – 28/5/21)
Group B was an iconic period with manufacturers spending big on cars with huge power and 4WD but still fairly primitive mechanics. Both Germany and Poland have room for these cars to stretch their legs – if you dare!
Group A (4WD)
Round 7: Australia (29/5/21 - 11/6/21)
Round 8: New Zealand (12/6/21 – 25/6/21)
While Group A cars might lack the outright power of their predecessors, the combination of antilag and more advanced chassis makes them nearly as fast in practice. We finish with two deceptively tough rallies down under.
Points will be awarded to the top 10 finishers on the same 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 used both last season and currently used in regular Realish seasons.
