Q: P15 and genuinely left half a second on the table, missed a gear coming round T1 onto the straight and then ran quite wide at the 180. Wasn't too worried about this though, still a solid time for a 27 car grid and knowing I had the pace to be a bit higher was nice.

Race:

Never thought I'd finish P12 on a 27 car grid and feel a bit disappointed, but here we are. I made the decision not to change tyres at my pitstop and it cost me. I was 2s a lap off the pace in the end and being overly generous for lapped cars cost me a lot of time. I think with a tyre change I'd have been pushing for P10 as I was doing that for a bit on my worn tyres until I couldn't get up there anymore. If I can bring this pace and consistency into each race this season I should hopefully be picking up some points on occasion ;)

Bottled qual quite nicely, about a second off my best. Started 11th.

Crashed early in the race at that stupid right-hander at the end of the track and ruined my front aero. Soldiered on and decided to pit a couple of laps early to fix the damage. I forgot that @AshMcConnell might need to pit as well, so he ended up stacked behind me for a bit. Oops. Spent the last part of the race chasing down @ajokay, but he had the best of me until some inadvertent team TicTacs saw Ash run out of fuel as (I think) @jims709 and @ajokay were all coming by. Alex ended up running off the track to avoid the slow Ash and I sneaked a position. Didn't feel as though I deserved 9th really, but will take the points.

Also: Sorry for the practice start. But not that sorry.

I found it hilarious to be honest. Good it happened in practice and not the race!

I guess Crash of the Year contenders will have to come further down the line ;)

Sorry @Chris Williamson! Definitely not intentional, but sorry if it ruined your race.

I don't remember the incident at all, I must be getting old!

Question, given the number of grid penalties to be applied:

In what order will they be applied? Because this is a very 2009 Japan situation...
