Yeah i'll give it a go. I've only had a short practice session with alex on this and that was messy so a real race should be fun.

Can I get in on this? I'll be on in however long it takes to set up my wheel.

It's all very confusing this game. Last night i got disqualified for traveling too slow under yellow flags, yet it was my incident that caused the yellow flags :S

I really enjoyed that last night. Once I'd set up my wheel properly and turned off the vomit-inducing moving camera I slowly got to grips with the handling and nearly pulled off an amazing tortoise and hare win against Liam. Racing into the darkness at Sebring was exceptionally cool.

Admittedly it is a little too extreme, but I like it. But then I do prefer to have things as realistic as possible, rather than having it more arcade like with a couple of metal splints bolted to your neck so your head don't move at all. I do have mine set to 50% though as having it set to 100% is a bit too much.

Agreed it's realistic that your head does move when you're in a car in real life. But in the car in real life your head is in some way attached to the car and your head moves with the movements of the car. Whereas on this the car is shaking around all over the place and your head is sitting happily on your neck in a desk chair.

Yeah, I turned it down rather than off completely. I do kind of like the movement, but it was getting to the point where I could hardly keep my focus on the track!

Anyone ever race the sprint cars in rF?

A league with those here would be good times. :D

The original rFactor has been greenlit on Steam. Which means at some point in the near future you'll be able to buy it on steam, if you so wish.

That means it might actually be in a sale at some point and not cost nigh-on £20, which is a lot for such an old game.

rFactor is now on Steam. Currently with 15% off at £16.14p for those that are interested. Still the best and most versatile sim you can get your hands on in my opinion, and even though it is a 7 year old title, it's still worth every penny if you ask me.

Agree with Jay. A better game than Race 07, and mods are made primarily for this. Race 07 gets the hand me downs, probably a cause for many issues with bugs in that game.

rFactor 2 is in competition with Assetto Corsa.

Been trying to setup a server for rFactor... does anyone have a clue how to do it? I've damn near tried everything and still can't get it to work.

Saw this on an article on PretendRaceCars. It's apparently not new, but I've never seen it before, so I thought I'd share it. Fingers crossed for a SCE conversion, I'd love a race on this :)

In the SCE thread Pete I posted a link a little while ago which has a pile of mods. The WCP 2014 mod for SCE is on there. Enjoy mate.

As for the track. I can try to convert it after my shift tonight and see if it works. If it does I'll upload it.
